About Erica

Hello there! I'm a health and wellness nerd who loves to share my passion for healthy movement with others. Since I started teaching 10 years ago, I've worked with clients of all backgrounds from the super fit to those with special needs including pre/post natal, osteoporosis, cancer recovery, injury recovery, and chronic back, neck, hip and shoulder aches and pains. Through these experiences I realized that Pilates is most effective when the program is tailored to each person's specific goals and muscle imbalances. This passion for individualized programming led me to found Erica Bell Pilates in August of 2016 to focus on teaching with a client centric approach in a well designed, contemporary space.

I discovered Pilates in 2011 at my local gym and was hooked after my first class! I loved that it was a different type of "burn" than the other workouts I enjoyed such as kickboxing, yoga, and weightlifting. I also noticed how the alignment and body awareness principals were making a difference in my everyday life- even preventing me from throwing out my back, which I had done twice prior to starting Pilates. I began my STOTT Pilates training in 2012 at Equilibrium Studio while working full-time as a project manager at an advertising agency and finished in 2014. I taught on nights and weekends at Equilibrium until 2015 when I made the transition from the advertising world to the Pilates world and teaching full time at Townsend Street Pilates. When Townsend Street Pilates closed in August of 2016, I opened my home studio and began the entrepreneurial journey of Erica Bell Pilates!

I feel so blessed to be able to do what I truly love every day by changing people's lives through healthy, meaningful movement. I strive to create programs that are challenging, fun, and full of variety! When I'm not teaching I enjoy watching a good Netflix series with my husband, reading (biographies/memoirs are my favorite), cooking healthy food, traveling, hiking, and catching up with friends. I look forward to meeting you and helping you transform your body!
